Flutter Project Setup

You configure everything in the admin panel — the Flutter project itself only needs your configuration package applied, then a normal Flutter build.

Prerequisites (on your computer, not the server)

Verify with:

flutter doctor

Apply your configuration

  1. Extract the AppForge Flutter project from your CodeCanyon download.
  2. In the admin panel open Applications and download the configuration package (appforge-config.zip).
  3. Unzip it into the project root, so appforge-config/ sits next to pubspec.yaml.
  4. Run:
   dart run tool/apply_config.dart

The tool copies your files into place and patches the project automatically: app name, Android applicationId, iOS bundle identifier, version, enabled permissions, deep links, Firebase activation. It is safe to run again after re-downloading a fresh package.

  1. Fetch dependencies and run:
   flutter pub get
flutter run # test on a connected device/emulator

What the app does at runtime

  • Loads its compiled defaults instantly, then refreshes the live configuration (colors, navigation, translations, settings) from your backend — so most admin changes appear in the app without publishing a new build.
  • Caches everything for offline starts; shows a native offline screen with retry and auto-reloads when the connection returns.

Changes that DO require a new build: app name/icon/splash, package or bundle id, permissions, deep-link domains, Firebase files, version number.

App icons & splash

assets/images/app_icon.png (from your package) is the master 1024×1024 icon, and apply_config.dart generates every Android density and the iOS AppIcon set from it automatically — there is nothing to resize by hand.

If you ever need to regenerate them on their own:

dart run flutter_launcher_icons # launcher icons
dart run flutter_native_splash:create # native launch screen

Both are already configured in pubspec.yaml; they read the icon and the splash colours your admin panel exported.

Updating later

When you change settings that require a rebuild: re-download the package, unzip over the old appforge-config/, run the apply tool again, build again.
